Search “best hosting for AI agents” and you get a wall of identical listicles. Same providers, same talking points, same forced affiliate links — written by people who have never deployed anything more demanding than a contact form.

Meanwhile, the actual infrastructure question — where do you run an MCP server, a long-running agent, a GPU-bound LLM workload without lighting your runway on fire — is getting more important and more underserved every month.

HostingPundit exists to fill that gap. Real deploys. Real numbers. Real opinions about what works and what doesn’t. Written for the indie dev and the small engineering team who have to pick a platform on Tuesday and ship by Friday.

Who’s behind this

Hafiz Ahmed Aliyan — operator, builder, infrastructure nerd. Based in Japan. Spent years running production infrastructure for small businesses, then started shipping AI agents and watched the hosting landscape get more confusing every quarter.

HostingPundit is the publication I wished existed when I was figuring out where to deploy my first MCP server. Everything published here is something I’ve actually run, or something I’ve researched deeply enough to have a real opinion about.

Our editorial standards

These are the rules we hold ourselves to. If we slip, call us out.

• Real deploys, real screenshots. Every “Deploy X on Y” guide reflects something we actually ran. If it didn’t work, we say so and explain why.
• Affiliate disclosure on every link. Commission-bearing links are flagged. Our full disclosure spells out exactly which networks we use.
• AI-drafted, human-edited, human-verified. We use AI to accelerate research and drafting. A human runs the deploy, checks the numbers, and signs off before anything publishes.
• We name what we like AND what we don’t. A review that recommends everything is a review that recommends nothing. We pick winners and call out duds.
• No sponsored posts dressed as editorial. Sponsored content is labelled “Sponsored” at the top of the page. Always. Editorial verdicts are never for sale.
• We update posts when facts change. Pricing, features, and outages shift fast in this space. Every article carries a last-updated date and we revisit popular ones quarterly.

What we don’t do
